Developments: 2. Serafini Productions and Time Hunters have announced Signal Veil, a third-person psychological survival horror game. The title is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The narrative follows Aki Mizuno, a teenager investigating disappearances at Nishikawa High School after her mother’s mysterious disappearance. A central gameplay mechanic involves using a supernatural cellphone left by her mother to detect, stun, and reveal spiritual presences through vibrations, sounds, and visual interference. Players must use the device’s flash to expose the weak points of hostile entities to facilitate a spiritual purge. Further details specify that the game features a ‘90s anime aesthetic. The experience emphasizes resource management and observation over brute force, as ammunition and medical supplies are limited. Additionally, the game incorporates a mechanic where Aki’s declining emotional stability can distort her perception of reality, causing the school environment and enemy behavior to shift. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-04: Signal Veil announced as 90s anime-style survival horror Serafini Productions announced Signal Veil, a 90s anime-inspired psychological survival horror game featuring supernatural investigations via a mysterious mobile phone. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/signal-veil-announced-as-90s-anime-style-survival-horror ### 2026-10-01: Signal Veil horror game announced for PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC Serafini Productions and Time Hunters announced Signal Veil, a third-person psychological horror game coming to PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/signal-veil-horror-game-announced-for-ps5-xbox-switch-2-and-pc --- Cite as: Signal Veil video game announcement.
