Siheung City is hosting a series of events in September 2026 aimed at boosting the local economy and promoting regional tourism.

In early September, Geobukseom will host the Siheung Mayor’s Cup Geobukseom National Triathlon, featuring approximately 1,400 participants. This is accompanied by the Geobukseom Startup Expo, which provides franchise consultations and financial guidance to revitalize the local commercial district.

Later in the month, the 21st Siheung Gaetgol Festival will take place at the Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park. The festival focuses on the area’s ecology and salt farm history through artistic programs and ecological workshops. To support sustainability, the festival will operate as a ‘car-free festival’ utilizing eco-friendly hydrogen electric shuttle buses.
