Croatian Olympic rowers Martin and Valent Sinković traveled to Amsterdam to compete in the men’s coxless pair at the World Rowing Championships. After spending a season in the coxless four, the brothers returned to the coxless pair, following a season that included a gold medal in Plovdiv and a bronze medal at the European Championships.

During the championships, the Sinković brothers failed to qualify for the A final. Although they recorded the fastest time of the championship during the semifinals with a time of 6:33.64, they finished fourth in their heat after being overtaken by crews from the Netherlands, Serbia, and Spain.
