SK AX previously received the Minister’s Award from South Korea’s Ministry of Employment and Labor for its generative AI talent cultivation programs, specifically its ‘AI Literacy’ and ‘AI Bootcamp’ certifications. Building on this, SK Group has launched ‘SK AIGEN’, a two-year, full-time non-degree training program managed by the talent development platform mySUNI. Targeting individuals aged 19 to 34, the initiative focuses on practical, project-based problem-solving rather than traditional academic credentials. The curriculum is structured so that the first year involves project planning and execution, while the second year emphasizes hands-on experience tailored to individual career paths. Participants will receive a monthly growth stipend of 3 million won (approximately $2,200). To provide interdisciplinary depth, SK is collaborating with the Seoul National University AI Institute to integrate humanities-based insights and career design support. Recruitment for the inaugural cohort is scheduled from November 1 to November 15, with approximately 50 participants expected to begin the program in March 2027. The program does not guarantee employment at SK or award formal degrees. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-11: SK Group launches SK AIGEN AI training program SK Group is launching ‘SK AIGEN’, a two-year AI training program for young adults, providing a 3 million won monthly stipend and project-based learning without requiring academic degrees. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sk-group-launches-sk-aigen-ai-talent-program-for-youth ### 2026-09-13: SK AX receives Minister's Award for AI talent training SK AX has received a Minister's Award from South Korea's Ministry of Employment and Labor for its generative AI training and certification programs, 'AI Literacy' and 'AI Bootcamp'. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sk-ax-receives-ministers-award-for-ai-talent-training --- Cite as: SK Group AI talent development initiatives.
