The Slovenian government has implemented new decrees to extend the working hours of administrative units on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The primary objective of these changes is to increase the accessibility of public services, allowing citizens to manage official matters, such as residency registrations and driver’s licenses, without needing to take time off work.

Under the new regulations, administrative units will remain open until 18:30 on these two days. The government clarified that this measure does not increase the total working hours of public employees but instead redistributes existing schedules. For instance, the Administrative Unit in Ljubljana will now operate from 8:00 to 18:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while maintaining different hours for the remainder of the week.
