At the 74th annual mountaineers meeting held at the border junction above Rateče, mayors from Kranjska Gora, Trbiž, and Podklošter gathered to celebrate regional cooperation between Slovenia, Italy, and Austria.

In addition to cultural festivities, the event facilitated a milestone for mountain rescue services. Rescuers from several Slovenian regions, including Rateče, Kranjska Gora, Mojstrana, Beljak, and Rablje, joined an Italian mountain special unit to form an informal Alpe Adria association. This group aims to improve coordination during joint training exercises and rescue operations.
