The city of São Caetano has improved its Municipal Management Effectiveness Index (IEG-M) for the 2025 period. According to data from the Tribunal de Contas do Estado de São Paulo (TCE-SP), the city’s classification rose from C+ in 2024 to a B rating, which represents the level of ‘Effective Management’. 

This improvement occurred during the first year of Mayor Tite Campanella’s administration and is attributed to efforts in enhancing municipal services and balancing public accounts. The IEG-M evaluates seven strategic sectors, including Planning, Fiscal Management, Education, Health, Environment, Citizen Protection/Civil Defense, and IT Governance. Notably, the city’s Planning indicator rose from a C to a B rating.
