The 25th São Paulo State Coffee Quality Contest has achieved record participation, with 395 samples submitted by producers across 80 municipalities. This represents the highest number of entries in the last five years.

Organized by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply through the Directorate of Integral Technical Assistance (CATI), the competition involves the evaluation of Arabica and Canephora beans. Following an initial classification, samples were sent to the Institute of Food Technology (Ital) in Campinas for sensory evaluation by professional tasters and roasting masters. Categories include natural, pulped natural, fermented, and organic for Arabica, alongside natural Canephora. An award ceremony is expected in November.
