The state of São Paulo has implemented accessibility services to assist deaf and hearing-impaired voters during the 2026 elections. Through the ‘São Paulo São Libras’ program, a partnership between the Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo (TRE-SP) and various secretariats, voters can access Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpreters via video calls.

These services allow citizens to resolve inquiries regarding voter registration, documentation, and polling locations. Access is provided through dedicated websites, mobile applications, and QR codes posted at polling stations on election days. 

In addition to sign language support, the ‘Seu Voto Importa’ initiative has been introduced to provide free individual transportation for people with disabilities or reduced mobility to ensure they can reach their designated voting locations. The Libras service is scheduled to remain available until October 30.
