The Biblioteca de São Paulo (BSP) announced a series of free cultural programs for September, including exhibitions, storytelling, film screenings, and workshops such as historical fencing and rap battles. The digital library BibliON also launched a free online course titled ‘From literature to cinema: how books become films’, led by critic Marcelo Lyrae.

Following these announcements, the São Paulo State Plan for Books, Reading, Literature and Libraries (PELLLB-SP) held its 2nd Formative Meeting. This initiative focuses on developing public policies to strengthen the state’s book industry, reading habits, and library systems through social participation from educators, librarians, and writers. The meeting also addressed progress regarding Bill No. 529/2023.
