Five military police officers in São Paulo have been convicted by the Military Justice system for involvement in a criminal organization. The group was investigated by the Military Police Internal Affairs department in Rio Preto for crimes including extortion, usury, homicide, violence, and debt collection.

Sentences for the individuals vary. Former sergeant Alan Victor Soares received the longest sentence of over 20 years in a closed regime.
