Charity and social welfare initiatives in Gia Lai province have focused on supporting vulnerable populations through educational and housing assistance.

In late August, the Association for Support of Persons with Disabilities and Protection of Children, with support from the Sunflower Group, provided 175 million VND in scholarships to 18 orphaned and disadvantaged students. Additionally, the Vietnam Fund for Disabled Children and the Gia Lai Department of Education and Training awarded 78 ‘Cactus Flower’ scholarships to local children with disabilities.

By late September, community support efforts expanded to housing, with the No. 7 Emulation Bloc and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Phu My Bac commune constructing a ‘Great Unity House’ for a low-income family. The family, who had lived in a degraded residence for over 20 years, also received cash donations and household items such as a television and a fan.
