The casting process for the Netflix live-action adaptation of the South Korean intellectual property ‘Solo Leveling’ has progressed from preliminary discussions to an official announcement.

Initially, reports indicated that actress Choi Myeong Been was in talks to play Sung Jin Ah, the protagonist’s younger sister, though her agency stated that ‘nothing has been confirmed’ at that time. During this stage, Byeon Woo Seok was already confirmed as the lead, playing Sung Jin Woo.

By October, Netflix officially announced the cast. The lineup includes Byeon Woo-seok as Sung Jin-woo, Han So-hee as S-rank hunter Cha Hae-in, and Jung Ji-hoon (Rain) as Baek Yoon-ho. Other confirmed actors include Lee Sung-min as Ko Geun-hee and Kang Yoo-seok as Yoo Jin-ho.
