The South Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has implemented several initiatives to modernize and expand agricultural services. 

Initially, the ministry expanded its agricultural food voucher delivery service nationwide. Following a pilot program in Jeonbuk, the program now allows vulnerable households—including pregnant women and youths under 34—to purchase fresh domestic products online for home delivery. This move aims to address accessibility challenges for residents in remote or mountainous areas.

Subsequently, the ministry announced the launch of the ‘Agrifood Big Data Cloud Service’. This initiative opens previously restricted data to the public and private sectors, providing access to 35 types of actionable information, such as livestock disease data and agricultural product prices, via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
