Recruitment analysis from JobKorea indicates a 198% year-on-year increase in job postings requiring AI competencies, such as experience with generative AI tools. This trend coincides with a decline in remote work availability, which has dropped approximately 65% from its 2022 peak, despite sustained interest from job seekers. In response to these technological shifts, organizations are focusing on talent cultivation and security. The Korea Management Association completed a multi-stage project to enhance employee AI literacy and practical development skills. Concurrently, cybersecurity experts have called for a transition toward ‘policy-driven automation’ to counter AI-driven hacking, suggesting a move from ‘human-in-the-loop’ models to ‘human-on-the-loop’ systems where humans oversee broader operational boundaries. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-27: AI talent development and security automation trends in South Korea KMA completes a multi-stage AI training program for employees, while Red Hat experts advocate for policy-driven security automation to counter sophisticated AI-driven cyberattacks. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ai-talent-development-and-security-automation-trends-in-south-korea ### 2026-10-26: JobKorea analysis shows rising demand for AI skills and remote work interest JobKorea data shows a 198% increase in AI-related job postings and a widening gap between high job seeker interest in remote work and a 65% decline in available remote job listings. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/jobkorea-analysis-shows-rising-demand-for-ai-skills-and-remote-work-interest --- Cite as: South Korean AI labor and technology trends.
