South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Digital X and Coinone have introduced initiatives to eliminate trading fees for users.

Digital X, previously known as Korbit, is implementing a zero-fee policy for its KRW market for one year, starting August 24, 2026. This move follows the acquisition of Korbit by Mirae Asset Group, which aims to use the platform to capture retail trading volume from competitors like Upbit and Bithumb. Digital X is reportedly preparing a capital raise of up to $217 million to expand into a broader digital-finance platform.

Coinone has also transitioned to a 0% trading fee structure for all items. Users can access this through fee-free vouchers issued via the company’s web or mobile applications. To support this change, Coinone is hosting a trading competition with prize pools in USDT for high-volume traders of assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Dogecoin, and USDC.
