South Korean law enforcement has conducted significant operations targeting organized crime and illegal activities.

In a two-month crackdown on prostitution, the Korean National Police Agency arrested 1,666 individuals across 761 cases. The operation targeted corporate-style networks, including a large entertainment establishment in Gangnam and operations targeting tourists in Jeju. Authorities also identified human trafficking cases involving the seizure of foreign nationals' passports. This operation resulted in the seizure of 19.5 billion won in illegal profits.

Separately, police in the Gyeongnam region dismantled a drug distribution ring that used intercity bus luggage to transport methamphetamine and cannabis. The investigation, which involved analyzing CCTV and financial data, led to the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of narcotics sufficient for approximately 1,820 uses. Authorities also froze 21 million won in criminal proceeds related to this ring.
