South Korea is engaging in international cooperation focused on artificial intelligence and healthcare technology. 

In early September, an Alberta, Canada, healthcare delegation visited South Korea to discuss medical AI and digital healthcare. The delegation explored potential collaborations with the Wonju Medical Industry Support Center and studied South Korea’s AI-based imaging and health screening processes at the KMI Korean Medical Institute to align with Alberta’s preventive medicine policies.

Later in the month, the Korea International Trade Association and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce co-hosted a networking forum in Seoul. This event aimed to strengthen economic ties in sectors including AI and bio-healthcare. As part of the forum, the Jasaeng Medical Academy and Emirates International Hospital Group signed a memorandum of understanding to pursue the globalization of Korean medicine.
