South Korean local government entities and organizations have received recognition for excellence in senior employment and social activity support programs. 

In Icheon, the Icheon Senior Club was granted an Excellence Award by the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged for its 2025 efforts to provide diverse job opportunities and ensure participant safety. In Goheung County, the local government was named an excellent municipality in a 2026 evaluation by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged. Goheung was the sole municipality in the Jeonnam-Gwangju region to receive this distinction, while the Goheung Senior Welfare Center and the Goheung Senior Club both earned Grand Prizes. Goheung County currently invests approximately 20.85 billion won to support jobs for 5,460 seniors.
