The Ministry of SMEs and Startups introduced the ‘2026 K-Export Strategic Items’ program, which selected 188 products across the beauty, household, food, and fashion sectors. This initiative leverages partnerships with major domestic distributors like Olive Young and Lotte Mart to provide SMEs with access to overseas distribution networks and influencer marketing. Complementing these national efforts, regional initiatives in Seoul and Yongin are facilitating market entry through networking and direct consultations. The Seoul Business Agency hosted the ‘SEOUL VIBE 2026’ event to connect K-brands with global creators, specifically targeting the North American market in collaboration with AMCHAM Korea. Meanwhile, the Yongin Industry Promotion Agency and KOTRA conducted export consultations for companies specializing in cosmetics, food, and pet supplies, resulting in over $1 million in potential contracts with buyers from the United States, Canada, and China. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-30: Seoul and Yongin initiatives support K-brand global expansion South Korean agencies are driving K-brand global expansion through creator networking in Seoul and export consultations in Yongin, targeting North American and Asian markets. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/seoul-and-yongin-initiatives-support-k-brand-global-expansion ### 2026-10-28: South Korea launches K-export initiative for SMEs South Korea has selected 188 strategic consumer goods from SMEs to support global expansion through partnerships with major retailers like Olive Young and Musinsa. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/south-korea-launches-k-export-initiative-for-smes --- Cite as: South Korean SME global export initiatives.
