The South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare has issued several awards to local governments for excellence in public health and community security. 

On October 29, the Ganghwa County Public Health Center was recognized as an excellent institution, being the only recipient in the Incheon region. The center was cited for its historical significance, disease prevention, and use of AI and IoT technologies to support rural and island residents. 

Following this, on October 30, multiple municipalities were honored for their 2025 community security plan implementation. Gyeonggi Province received the Grand Prize for its comprehensive care policies, while Incheon Metropolitan City earned the Grand Prize in the metropolitan category. Other recipients included Yeonsu-gu, Bupyeong-gu, and Iksan City, which was recognized for its proactive welfare systems such as the ‘Zoom-in Talk’ mobile reporting network.
