Spanish football fixtures in LaLiga and lower divisions are approaching. Early reports highlight various matchups, including Celta de Vigo against Elche CF and Eldense against Córdoba CF. In the lower divisions, Betis Deportivo maintains an undefeated record in Segunda RFEF Group 4.

Following a FIFA international break, Málaga CF hosted RCD Espanyol at La Rosaleda stadium for the eighth round of LaLiga EA Sports. The match resulted in a 1-1 draw. Bryan Zaragoza gave Espanyol the lead in the 13th minute after a solo run that beat two defenders and goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero. While Espanyol maintained early dominance and missed several opportunities to extend their lead—including a notable attempt by Roberto Fernández that was cleared off the line by Carlos Puga—Málaga applied pressure during the second half, including a free kick from Pablo Martínez that struck the crossbar.

Málaga secured an equalizer in the 93rd minute when substitute Adrián Niño converted a cross from Rafita with a first-time shot. The point provides a small reprieve for Málaga as they continue to search for their first victory of the season and remain at the bottom of the table. The match also featured the debut of Adam Aznou for Málaga and a notable performance from Espanyol goalkeeper Ángel Fortuño.

Espanyol manager Manolo González expressed frustration with the outcome, stating that while his team performed well in the first half, “defensive lapses in the final moments cost them the victory.”
