Asturgar SGR has been facilitating access to the ICO Crecimiento line of credit for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Asturias, providing financing for investment and liquidity needs.

Following the conclusion of the European recovery plan in August 2026, the Spanish Government has initiated an urgent reform of the Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO) statutes to launch the ‘España Crece’ fund. This fund, totaling 13,691 million euros, includes a capital increase and non-reimbursable transfers. The reform will establish a new organizational structure within the ICO, featuring a Promotional Financing Portfolio to address market failures and a Transversal Financing Portfolio for other operations, targeting sectors such as SMEs, strategic technologies, housing, and venture capital.
