# Spanish local photography contests

In late July 2026 Campanario opened its ninth municipal photography competition, accepting up to three original black‑and‑white or colour images on paper, sized 18‑40 cm, to be delivered to the Universidad Popular de Campanario by 28 August 14:00. Prizes are €150, €100 and €75.

At the same time Seepoint Ópticas Jávea relaunched its Summer Photography Contest for residents and visitors of Jávea and surrounding areas, taking email entries from 28 July to 30 August and holding public voting on Facebook and Instagram from 31 August to 6 September. Winners receive branded sunglasses and a catamaran trip.

The Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM) launched the second edition of its “Verano sin togas” contest, running 1 August–13 September, with categories for travel, family, duty‑related and creative themes. Up to three photos per category may be submitted; entries must be original and not AI‑generated. The overall winner receives a weekend stay at Paradores, with results announced 21 September.

Additional municipalities joined the summer wave. Guadalajara’s City Council announced a Tourism Photography Competition, open online 1 August–16 October, awarding twelve €250 prizes and featuring the winning images in the 2027 tourism calendar. Cáceres launched an Instagram‑based “My favourite corner of Cáceres” contest, inviting any age to post photos of monuments, landscapes or everyday scenes using #mirinconfavoritoy and #mirinconfavoritodecaceres after 5 August.

Together these initiatives illustrate a broad, region‑wide effort in Spain during the summer of 2026 to promote local scenery, cultural heritage and community engagement through both traditional paper exhibitions and digital platforms.
