Municipalities and regional authorities in Spain have initiated various infrastructure maintenance and renewal projects focused on road safety, urban mobility, and utility efficiency.

In late September, local governments in San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Marratxí launched road resurfacing programs. The Marratxí City Council began a multi-year asphalting plan with an investment exceeding 2.2 million euros to address deteriorated road sections.

By October, these efforts expanded to include larger-scale regional projects. In Catalonia, the Eix d’Aro road corridor underwent pavement renewal using sustainable asphalt. In Mallorca, railway maintenance budgets increased significantly, with nearly 12 million euros allocated for tracks and bridges. Additionally, Port d’Alcúdia resumed sewage and paving works, utilizing funds from the Sustainable Tourism Tax to replace aging infrastructure.
