Spanish municipalities and regional governments continue to implement social, educational, and infrastructure initiatives.

Local efforts remain focused on employment and urban development. Mijas has approved an extraordinary public employment offer to stabilize approximately 380 positions to comply with laws reducing temporary employment. In Guadalajara, a completed employment support plan hired 100 vulnerable individuals, alongside a 70,000-euro investment in LED urban lighting to eliminate dark spots. In Seville, 12 million euros were allocated to 106 municipalities to fund temporary employment for those at risk of social exclusion. Other local programs include the ‘Plan Corresponsables’ in Caudete for childcare and municipal sports schools in Cuenca.

Regional authorities have introduced several subsidy programs. In Castilla-La Mancha, a 200,000-euro fund has been allocated for feature film production grants to boost the local sector. The region is also investing 14.6 million euros to guarantee free nursery school education for children aged 2 to 3 across 341 schools and 305 municipalities, including Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, and Toledo. This measure aims to support work-life balance and rural stability.

In Andalucía, the Junta de Andalucía confirmed that full free education for children aged zero will be implemented starting next school year, following the current extension of free schooling to one and two-year-olds. Additionally, Jaén has launched the Proempleo8 program, utilizing over 8.7 million euros to provide socio-labor insertion training for 1,320 unemployed individuals.
