Spanish National Police have conducted multiple operations targeting various forms of violence and organized fighting across different regions.

In Puertollano, ‘Operación Sancho’ resulted in the arrest of three men linked to a June shooting between rival clans. The incident left one individual in critical condition and another with a projectile in his chest. During the investigation, authorities seized a 9mm pistol, cartridges, and over 36,500 euros in cash.

In other regions, police addressed public disturbances and clandestine activities. In Murcia, five individuals were detained following street fights involving weapons such as knives and saws, during which two officers were assaulted. 

In Granada, authorities are investigating a network that organized clandestine fights among vulnerable people, including the homeless and those with addictions. This follows the death of a 43-year-old Algerian man from a traumatic brain injury during a fight in September. While a 24-year-old suspect was previously in provisional prison, four organizers have now been detained. Investigators are examining whether spectators may be liable for crimes such as hate crimes or omission of assistance.

Recent incidents include a stabbing at the San Lucas Fair in Jaén, where a person was seriously injured, leading to the arrest of two men. Additionally, in Salamanca, police dismantled a fortified drug den described as a ‘bunker’. A man and a woman were arrested for drug trafficking and are under investigation for the illegal detention and threatening of an individual held against their will.
