Spanish academic institutions continue to expand initiatives centered on entrepreneurship, innovation, and student engagement.

Universitat Jaume I (UJI) is conducting its Entrepreneurship Week, themed ‘Emprén el teu futur’, which focuses on transforming multidisciplinary ideas in fields like artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D-printed prosthetics, and agriculture into concrete projects. This event also marks the debut of UJI Stardust, the university’s first rocket team.

In the region of Castellón, the Diputación de Castellón and UJI have released three new publications through the ‘Biblioteca de les Aules’ collection to preserve local heritage and promote academic research. Meanwhile, the Universidad de Valladolid (UVA) reported record enrollment for its Interuniversity Experience Program (PIEX) in Segovia, reaching a historic high of 495 students over the age of 55 across various disciplines including history, art, and life sciences.

Newer developments include the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) launching the second edition of its Reto-UPCT program. This initiative tasks students with solving real-world problems for companies and public entities, utilizing a Professional Network to facilitate internships and employment. Additionally, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has entered the league phase of its sports competitions at the Vera Campus, following a period of high participation in the previous academic year.
