American rock duo Sparks announced the upcoming release of ‘Live on The Moon’, a 20-track live album recorded during a concert at the Taruntius Crater near Mare Fecunditatis. The band stated they were “honored to be the first band to perform on the Moon.” The performance featured a cameo by actress Cate Blanchett, who provided an introduction and outro for the recording.

On 14 August, the album was officially released via digital streaming, CD, and a limited-edition marbled double LP. The release follows the band’s 2025 world tour and coincides with scheduled performances in the UK and Europe, including appearances at the Green Man Festival and shows in York and Southend-on-Sea.
