Nintendo announced a new update for Splatoon 3, designated as Ver. 11.3.0, scheduled for release on August 20. 

A primary feature of the update is the addition of the ‘PET Shooter Replica’ weapon. This item is a visual replica of a weapon from the Splatoon Raiders spin-off title. To access this content, players must have a save file that has completed the main story of Splatoon Raiders on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware; players on original Nintendo Switch hardware will be unable to obtain it.

In addition to the new weapon, the update includes extensive balance adjustments. These changes involve nerfs to the ink coverage radius of the .52 Galon series and ink efficiency for long-range weapons like the Lite 4K and R-PEN. The Carbon Roller series will receive buffs to ink coverage speed and vertical swing damage attenuation. Other adjustments include a 13% increase in projectile speed for the Ultra Shot, a reduction in ink suction capacity for the Ink Vac, and various bug fixes.
