In mid-August, the Foginovo 2026 beach handball tournament took place, organized by RK Dubovac-Gaza. The event included youth categories and a senior tournament, which saw Caffe bar Đani win the title. The tournament also incorporated educational workshops focused on teamwork and fair play.

By late August, the Karlovac Sports Recreation Festival was approaching its conclusion, with a scheduled disco event to mark the end of the summer season. Additionally, the water polo club Mladost Zagreb conducted a demonstration and exhibition match in the Korana River at the Foginovo bathing area to support the local club, Karlovac. During this visit, local representatives noted a lack of adequate training facilities for competitive water polo in the region.

Croatian Waters and local utility services are working to permanently close the storm drain outlet that allowed firefighting water to enter the river during the recent fire. While firefighters have left the fire site, police investigations are pending; officials plan to use a drone for the investigation due to the unstable structure of the buildings involved.
