Local authorities in San Salvador de Jujuy have undertaken several initiatives to promote sports infrastructure and youth athletics in the region.

In September, the province inaugurated the ‘Reconquista de Jujuy’ municipal social hockey stadium in the Alberdi neighborhood. The facility, which includes a synthetic grass pitch, was established to meet local demands for improved sports infrastructure and community integration. Following this, the municipality hosted an intercollegiate under-16 women’s volleyball tournament at the Municipal Sports Center No. 1. This event integrated amateur and federated players to encourage healthy habits and the use of municipal sports spaces.
