Cambrils, Spain, has hosted several international sporting competitions aimed at boosting local tourism. In late September, the city hosted four major European Minifootball Federation (EMF) club competitions, including the EMF Champions League, the EMF Women's Champions League, the Euro Cup, and the EMF Masters Cup. These events involved approximately 1,250 footballers from 80 teams across various nations.

Following these events, the city hosted the inaugural Cambrils Pétanque Passion international tournament in October. This competition featured 154 players from France, Switzerland, Morocco, Catalonia, and Spain. Local officials noted that such events are intended to help the municipality grow as a quality destination by generating hotel occupancy and helping to “deseasonalize the tourism season.”
