SpVgg Unterhaching is navigating a period of simultaneous sporting activity and economic instability in the Regionalliga Bayern. In early September, the club reported significant financial scrutiny following claims that more than 15 employees left the organization due to unpaid salaries. President Manfred Schwabl noted that while the situation was tense, the club aimed to settle outstanding claims during the autumn.

On the pitch, the club has maintained competitive performance. After a 3-0 victory against FC Augsburg U23, Unterhaching played to a 2-2 draw against league leaders TSV Buchbach. This result was later reaffirmed in a subsequent 2-2 draw between the two sides.
