The musical ‘Come From Away’, which depicts the hospitality shown by residents of Gander, Newfoundland, to passengers stranded after the September 11, 2001, attacks, is being staged in various locations.

Productions have been held by the Portrush Musical Society in Ireland, utilizing ‘chairography’ to transition between settings, and by Orlando Shakes in the United States. Additionally, the musical is scheduled to open at WICA in Langley, Washington. WICA is noted as one of the first non-union, non-educational theaters selected to stage the production, with leadership emphasizing the connection between the Whidbey Island community and the community of Gander.
