The Stara Zagora Municipality has implemented financial assistance programs to support families and couples undergoing assisted reproduction. Following a 2025 period where 19 couples received a total of 57,000 BGN, the municipality has increased the financial aid for 2026 to 2,045 EUR per family. 

Local officials, including Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Anton Tonev, have highlighted the initiative's goal to improve access to reproductive health information, including family planning and egg freezing, through a specialized commission of the Municipal Council.
