London-based progressive stoner rock band Steak has released their fourth studio album, a self-titled record titled ‘Steak’. Released via Stickman Records in Europe and the UK, and Ripple Music in North America, the album follows their 2022 release, ‘Acute Mania’.

This release marks the first time the band has recorded as a five-piece following the addition of Tom Cameron on guitar and vocals. The new material is described as an evolution of the band’s sound, blending desert rock, psychedelia, and progressive heaviness. While some critics view the work as a maturation that adds complexity and melody, others have noted the predictable nature of the songwriting. The album features tracks such as ‘Cometh’, ‘Luxury Junk’, and ‘Dust’, which utilize clean guitar melodies transitioning into heavy distortion.
