Stellantis has reached significant milestones and announced major strategic investments across its European manufacturing network.

In Portugal, the Mangualde plant reached a production milestone of 2 million vehicles, with the 2 millionth unit being a Citroën ë-Berlingo Van. The facility, which has operated since 1962, currently produces approximately 372 vehicles per day for brands including Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, and Fiat. This comes amid strong performance in the Portuguese market, where Stellantis reported a 17% sales growth in August 2026 and a 131% increase in battery electric vehicle registrations.

In France, Stellantis announced an investment of over one billion euros to transform the Mulhouse plant into a hub for electric and hybrid vehicle production. As part of the FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan, the facility will transition from internal combustion models to producing three C-segment models on the new STLA One modular platform starting in 2029.
