Montenegrin striker Stevan Jovetic has shared details regarding several significant transfer opportunities and career reflections during interviews.

Initially, Jovetic revealed that he rejected an offer from Real Madrid while playing for Fiorentina. He explained that during his second year in Italy, he did not feel ready for such a major career step and instead prioritized finding stability and maturity in Florence.

In subsequent reflections, Jovetic disclosed that advanced negotiations for a transfer to Lecce last spring collapsed following the departure of executive Pantaleo Corvino. He also noted that he had previously turned down opportunities to join Juventus. Regarding his earlier decision to decline Real Madrid, Jovetic expressed regret, stating that a knee injury occurring shortly after that decision significantly impacted his career trajectory.
