Sources: 8. Developments: 2. Musician Steven Wilson has announced his ninth studio album, titled ‘Requiem For A Village’, which is scheduled for release on November 6, 2026. Departing from the space-themed exploration of his previous album, ‘The Overview’, this new project focuses on a fictional, timeless village located within the British Isles. Wilson employed an unconventional recording approach, intentionally avoiding AI and corrective studio technologies in favor of organic instrumentation and studio imperfections. The album features collaborations with multi-instrumentalist Randy McStine, drummer Russell Holzman, and vocalist Katherine Priddy. Narrative elements were written by Andy Partridge and include narration by British actor David Tennant. The 12-track album includes songs such as ‘Swirl In a Lark’s Eye’, ‘Murmuration’, and ‘The Old God is Buried’. It is described as having a macabre, imaginative atmosphere and will be available in various formats, including double vinyl, CD, and CD with Blu-ray. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-13: Steven Wilson announces ninth studio album ‘Requiem For A Village’ Steven Wilson has announced his ninth studio album, ‘Requiem For A Village’, set for release on November 6, featuring organic instrumentation and collaborations with Randy McStine and David Tennant. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/steven-wilson-announces-ninth-studio-album-requiem-for-a-village-1 ### 2026-09-11: Steven Wilson announces ninth studio album Requiem For A Village Steven Wilson has announced his ninth studio album, ‘Requiem For A Village’, set for release on November 6, 2026.
