Strava has introduced several updates to its platform to improve route planning and discovery for activities such as cycling, running, and hiking. The updates focus on enhancing search capabilities within the Maps tab, allowing users to find routes via natural language, specific names, or locations.

To assist users in selecting paths, the platform has redesigned route cards to incorporate community-contributed photos and real-world activity data. Furthermore, improved offline functionality enables users to view saved routes and record activities in remote areas without an active internet connection, with data syncing automatically once connectivity is restored.

Planned future developments include the introduction of web-based route browsing, expanded route details featuring community tags for landmarks, and turn-by-turn audio navigation for subscribers.
