Vienna has implemented various urban art projects aimed at community engagement and social inclusion. Through the ‘Wienerwand’ initiative, part of the ‘Kinder- und Jugendmillion’ project, the city expanded its network of legal graffiti locations from 23 to 29 sites. These areas, marked by a pigeon symbol, allow residents under 20 to shape their urban environment without damaging private property.

In a separate effort, the ‘Bunte Türme für die Nachbarschaft’ project transformed four ventilation towers in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus district. This initiative, involving the inclusion agency VOI fesch, utilized street art to promote social inclusion by bringing together artists with and without disabilities to decorate approximately 100 square meters of concrete.
