Christian metal band Stryper announced the upcoming release of their 18th studio album, ‘Throne of Thorns’, scheduled for September 25 via Frontiers Music Srl. During the announcement, vocalist Michael Sweet shared plans to record three additional albums starting in early 2027, citing a desire to record while members can still perform at a high level due to health considerations.

Following the release of ‘Throne of Thorns’, the band introduced the single ‘Shadowbreaker’, which Michael Sweet described as a heavy track representing the band’s 2026 sound. The album features grand arrangements and anthemic choruses. To support the release, Stryper has scheduled a tour across the United States running from late September through December.
