In late October 2026, the ADRA organization announced plans to fund the Telematch festival in the Al-Basatin area of Aden’s Dar Sad district. The initiative was designed to support the psychological well-being of 300 primary school students through sports and activities, aiming to mitigate mental health impacts caused by humanitarian conditions.

By early November, local officials, including Dar Sad Director General Abboud Naji Hussein and Education Office Director Anis Al-Hajar, inaugurated the competitions at the Al-Ghafiqi Educational Complex for Girls. Held in coordination with ADRA and local community initiatives, the event included football, volleyball, chess, and obstacle courses for both male and female students to coincide with the 59th anniversary of South Yemen’s independence.
