The Sumikko Gurashi franchise is expanding through new digital and physical experiences in Japan. In mid-October, Nippon Columbia announced ‘Sumikko Gurashi: Poka Poka Onsen ni Youkoso’, a simulation game for the Nintendo Switch 2 scheduled for release on November 19. 

Following this, the Highland Resort Hotel & Spa in Yamanashi Prefecture announced the launch of Japan’s first permanent character-themed accommodations. Opening on November 28, 2026, the ‘Sumikko Gurashi Rooms’ will offer themed stays including interactive missions and exclusive amenities for guests.
