The Bahia Civil Police launched ‘Operação Caixa Vazio’ to investigate a fraud scheme that caused significant financial losses to a supermarket chain in Euclides da Cunha. 

The operation resulted in the judicial blocking of financial assets totaling approximately R$ 5.7 million. Authorities seized R$ 289,352 in cash, firearms, ammunition, vehicles, and luxury items. Additionally, the court ordered the seizure of four properties in Euclides da Cunha valued at roughly R$ 530,000. 

During the operation, eight judicial warrants were executed, including five search and seizure warrants for residences and three for vehicles. A 45-year-old suspect was interrogated at the Euclides da Cunha Territorial Police Station and released to respond to the investigation in freedom.
