By late October, home openers for other teams showed increased competition. The Okayama Seagulls utilized new talent, including Kaho Wakaizumi and Jade Eliza Wright, to push the Saitama Ageo Medics to a close 1-3 loss before securing their first win of the season. In Kurobe, the Aqua Fairies faced Toray Arrows Shiga in a narrow 2-3 defeat, despite a strong start from Chinese national team player Gong Xiangyu.
