Sylvester Stallone has been engaging in promotional activities for the series ‘Tulsa King’. On October 10, Stallone attended PaleyFest New York alongside his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, to celebrate the show. Scarlet Stallone, who portrays the character Spencer, appeared at the event held at The Paley Museum.

During an appearance on the Graham Norton Show, Stallone discussed his personal background, including a childhood marked by poverty and his initial consideration of becoming a hairdresser. He also shared his creative intentions for ‘Tulsa King’, stating a preference for his character, Dwight Manfredi, to seek redemption rather than following the common trope of a violent or tragic end for criminal protagonists. He noted that while the character will face new threats in the upcoming fourth season, he envisions an epilogue where Manfredi survives to care for those around him.

Following criticism regarding nepotism, Stallone defended the decision to cast his daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, in the series. In interviews with USA Today and Entertainment Weekly, the 80-year-old actor acknowledged the casting as a form of nepotism, stating, ‘Of course it is, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children.’ He argued that it is natural for parents to provide advantages, but emphasized that while he can provide opportunities, the ability to maintain excellence and meet audience expectations is up to the individual performer. Scarlet’s role as Spencer is expected to expand in the fourth season as her character becomes more involved in the show’s criminal operations. The fourth season of the series premiered on Paramount+ on October 16. Recent reports indicate that Scarlet Rose Stallone has been promoted to the regular cast for the upcoming fifth season.
