Syracuse University men’s basketball is entering a new era under head coach Gerry McNamara. The program is preparing for its season opener against the New Haven Chargers at the JMA Wireless Dome.

The roster includes a mix of returning talent, such as sophomore guard Kiyan Anthony, and new additions like transfer Aiden Tobiason. However, concerns have been raised regarding defensive consistency and offensive chemistry. Additionally, the team is monitoring the health of Tobiason, who is recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during an exhibition game against Connecticut.
