The Syracuse Mets engaged in a late-season push for the International League East Division title during the final weeks of their 2026 schedule. Early in September, the team sat only two games behind first place, supported by strong offensive performances from players such as D’Andre Smith and Billy Amick.

However, the postseason bid ended following a 5-4 loss to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the season finale. Despite an 11-inning effort that included a home run by Jose Ramos, Syracuse failed to capitalize on scoring opportunities, going 4-for-15 with runners in scoring position. The loss, coupled with a Rochester victory, resulted in the Mets' elimination from the playoffs.
